Church of the Week- NHGCC
In May 1964, Archbishop (Prof.) Dennis I. C. Josephson, went on a long fasting and prayer, seeking the face of the Lord on a mountain, at European quarters in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State Nigeria. While on the mountain, God spoke to him clearly concerning his calling, asking him to go back and start the ministry in his village. By 26th May 1964, he started the first fellowship in his father’s house.
In 1979, he established four branches of National Holy Ghost Church of Christ at Ndiowu, Oko, Nanka and Awgbu all in Anambra State, Nigeria. On the 14th July 1995, he was ordained a Bishop by the blessed memory, the general overseer of Church of God Mission and The first National President of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, late Arch-Bishop Benson Idahosa.
On 3rd May, 2009, he was ordained an Archbishop by the Presiding Archbishop of the Wesley Synod International. Like a mustard seed, the church has grown both in numerical, physical and spiritual strength, within every part of the nation and in diasporas
The ministry has schools. The ministry is resolved in her quest to produce whole persons in Spirit, soul and body.
